
Bhastrika Pranayama – (Bellows Breath)

The Sanskrit word Â'Bhastrika is Â'Bellows "This is called Pranayama breathing Bhastrika Â'bellows. This form of breathing increases the flow of air into the body to produce internal heat as physical and subtle.
Bhastrika breathing is a dynamic and highly energizing abdominal breathing exercise that requires an expenditure of physical significant energy. It is performed by abdominal breathing at a rate of 1-4 breaths per second, with the breaths while stressed and equally as active.
Beginners are advised Bhastrika practice of slow breathing with 2 seconds of inhalation and exhalation 2 seconds, (15 breaths per minute) with no force on inhalation and exhalation. With regular practice of this pranayama the abdominal muscles become stronger, so that the speed can be increased to 30 breaths per minute, using 1-second inhalation and exhalation of 1 second.
Intermediate and advanced students practice in May at an average rate of breathing (1-2 breaths per second) and rapid breathing rate (3-4 breaths per second).
Note: Be aware of hyperventilation, and gradually build their capacity.
Bellows Breath active and tones the liver, pancreas, spleen and muscles of abdominal toning the digestive system and improves digestion.
During Bhastrika there is an increase in the exchange of oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) inside and outside the bloodstream. This action stimulates metabolism, heat production and flushing toxins and waste from outside the organization.
This breathing strengthens and balances the nervous system, brings peace and tranquility in mind when preparing for meditation.
Bhastrika pranayama brings many medical benefits. However, in some health conditions this particular breathing exercise is not recommended.
Three important reasons (of many) Bhastrika not:
1) Any person suffering from hypertension L 'the pressure should not practice this breathing.
2) the person with the ability poor lung should not try breathing bellows.
3) If you have a hernia avoid this pranayama.
Caution: Always consult your doctor if you have any questions or concerns the relevance of this position for you. It is preferable to perform this yoga posture in presence of a qualified yoga teacher.
